2020 Club Year-end Thoughts:

As a new District Commissioner for 2020, I was excited and scared at the same time because I wanted to see a successful 2020 for Santa Rosa Pony Club.  We started off great with fun plans for our unmounted meetings and experienced some new trainers for our mounted lessons.  Then in the middle of March, COVID-19 struck and shelter-in-place orders essentially halted the club.  We also have to include the two major wild fires in September and October and our struggle with terrible air quality.  These unfortunate events stunted our plans for the year.  Fortunately, the sport of horses has been one activity that was fairly easy to adapt to with COVID protocols and our members have been able to continue their personal horse journeys.  I'm hoping we can make up for lost time in 2021 and welcome new members.
